Domain Configuration Check
Tool Overview
The Domain Configuration Check is a free online tool which performs a comprehensive check of your domain's DNS, email and other configuration.
Simply enter your domain name (eg. example.com) and let the Domain Configuration Check tool start gathering its results. To get started, go to the Domain Configuration Check.
It's a good idea to re-run the Domain Configuration Checks after making changes to your domain's configuration. For example:
- Changing DNS entries
- Setting up a new website
- Changing hosting provider
- Changing IP addresses
- Changing name servers
- Adding a name server
- Relocating servers
- Changing mail servers
The Domain Configuration Checks are split into two main sections:
- General Name Server Configuration Tests
Tests in this section are run across all name servers for your domain. - Specific Name Server Configuration Tests
Tests in this section are run against a specific name server for your domain. The name server used is randomly picked from one of the authoritative name servers detected.
